KMart Super Doubles 8/30-9/5

KMart should have Super Doubles (up to $2) starting this Sunday. Reports are saying this will be the last Super Doubles until 2010 because of all the fall holidays. The ad is usually on the KMart website by Thursday or Friday, so we'll have to check out what deals are available. They had doubles a few weeks ago and my total was $88 before coupons, I paid $24 after coupons and I got $5 off my next purchase, a movie ticket, and a HUGE PILE of stuff. I will try my best to compile a list, but usualy the deals are so extensive I may just link to somewhere else, we'll see!

Kids Consignment Sales

If it weren't for consignment sales Jacob would go naked. I hate spending more the $2 on any clothing for him considering he grows out of it so fast and well, we really don't have the money to buy 'new' clothes for him all the time. The sales usually occur in September and March...so far every weekend is full except Labor Day! If there are any more that you know about please let me know!

Aug 26-30 Little Treasures Sale (yes! this week!)
Sept 11-12 Kentucky Kids Sale
Sept 18-20 Kid Stuff Sale
Sept 25-26 Highland Kids Sale (my FAVORITE, everything is half price Saturday)
Sept 30 - Oct 3 A to Z Kid Sale (this is a new one...if you still needs stuff after the other sales Saturday is half price and there is a $5 off $50 purchase on their flyer!)

Target through 8/29

As I mentioned before, Target has online printable coupons that may be used with manufacturer coupons (Click here for the Target coupon policy, print it out and take it with you if you want!). As the coupons come and go on the Target website, some sites (linked in scenarios below) save these coupons in a much easier printable format until the coupons actually expire. Between drug stores and grocery stores it is often difficult for me to find time for Target, but sometimes, the sales are really worth it. Here we go…

Kids/Babies
**Nestle Boost Kid Essentials on sale for $7.99, (located by the baby formula) print this $5 coupon and print a $2 Target coupon = $.99 each (does anyone elses kid NOT eat veggies…this is the only way mine is ‘getting’ them.
**Huggies Jumbo $9.74, use $1.50 off from paper or print here and use this $1.50 off Target coupon THEN submit for the $.75 Caregivers Marketplace rebate = $5.99 per pack, this is not that great of a deal, but if you need diapers, this is probably your best bet this week.
**Huggies Pure & Natural $9.99, print a $3 off coupon and use the $1.50 off Target coupon = $5.49 each, again this is not a great deal, but if you need it now, go do it. The Pure and Natural diapers are not listed on the caregiver’s list, but if you are submitting for other items, you may as well throw this receipt in.
**Colgate SpongeBob travel size toothpaste $1, use the $1 off Target Coupon = free OR you could buy the full-size version @ $1.99 and use the $.75 paper coupon & Target coupon and pay $.24!
**Gerber Bottles $1 (but look for other Gerber feeding accessories that are close to $1), use the $1 off Target Coupon = free or close to it
**Aveeno Baby Care $3.50, print this $2 off or this $1 off and use the $1 off Target Coupon = as low as $.50.

**Hillshire Deli select lunchmeat $2.99, use the $.55 coupon from the paper and $1 Target Coupon = $1.44. Purchase 2 and submit a rebate for a free insulated lunch tote!

**Combos $1.50, print a $1 Target Coupon = $.50
**Starburst 14 oz $1.99, print a $1 off Target Coupon = $.99 each!

Restaurant Deals

It is no secret I LOVE to go out to eat. There are so many great deals out there that make it affordable. Here is a list of e-mail sign ups, coupon reminders and places to get cheap gift certificates.

Arby’s
Our free Wednesday Arby's deals are coming to an end soon! Today you can get a free Beef N Cheddar with the purchase of a drink (around $1.50). To extend your free Arby's luck, take your receipt and complete the SUPER easy survey that is on the bottom within two days to get another free Arby sandwich...this has become an endless cycle with me...

Outback Steakhouse
Join the Outback Steakhouse E-mail Club and you’ll receive a coupon for a FREE $9.95 summer Entree or $5 off the entree of your choice with the purchase of another entree and a Coca-Cola product!

Olive Garden
Have you seen commercials for their Neverending Pasta Bowl for $8.95? I think it's just pastas and sauces, but some of those sauces I just can’t make/buy at home. Use the $4 off 2 entrée coupon from the paper and eat all you can for $13.90 per couple…sounds good to me! (and the bread and the salad…I’m ready now!)

IHOP
The closest one to Louisville is in Clarksville, IN, but there are so many great stores up there that we visit a few times a month. Well, IHOP is offering free kid’s meals with an adult meal purchase from 4pm-10pm through 9/13. I think Jacob can eat his weight in breakfast food, so this is great for us…no coupon needed. Most adult entrees are under $7.

McDonalds
Every so often McDonald’s has children’s coupon cooks which may be purchased for $1. Currently they have ‘After School Snack’ booklets which include 2 free baked pies, 2 free apple juice or milk, 2 free small cones, and 2 free apple dippers or fries. AND the coupons are valid through 2011!

Captain D’s
I have to admit I don’t visit Captain D’s very often…there are just too many LJS coupons to venture to a non-coupon fish place! Well, if you join Captain D’s Seafood Club you’ll receive special offers on upcoming promotions, plus your welcome e-mail will give you a free Fish or Chicken & Fries!

TGI Fridays
Sign up for their Give Me More Stripes program and get some GREAT coupon by e-mail. I get BOGO entrée coupons pretty often along with other promotions.

Macaroni Grill
I worked at Macaroni Grill for almost 6 years, and I miss all the wonderful food I used to get for free(ish). I got an e-mail this morning mentioning some new entrees they're offering that are under $10. The e-mail also mentioned a coupon coming out in this Sunday's paper for $5 off 2 entrees. So if both people got an 'under $10 entree' you could get out for less than $15! Ooooh I love their bread.

Restaurant.com
If you’ve never gotten a gift certificate from Restaurant.com, do yourself a favor and go get one. Restaurant.com is often the only reason we can even afford to walk in the door of some restaurants. There are currently about 64 restaurants in the Louisville area (but look in other areas when you go on vacation/out of town too). Currently you can get a $25 GC for $2 with coupon code “TASTE.” Most GCs require a minimum purchase of $35, so you will walk out paying $10 + tip out of pocket + the $2 you paid for the GC. It’s really incredible. There are too many restaurants to mention, but some of my faves are BDs Mongolian Grill & Shogun Japanese Restaurant.

Half Off Depot
They are a newer discount certificate site, but they seem to be just as reliable as restaurant.com. There are no minimum purchase requirements, however the discount is not as great, AND you don’t get the instant gratification of printing out your certificate. I ordered some for Max & Erma's and they came within a day or so. There are some other yummy restaurants on there including Shenanigans, but there are also salons, and entertainment certificates.

Wags through 8/29

$5 off $25 coming out for Wednesday - Saturday!!! Print your coupon from the Walgreens website. **Glade, buy $10 get $3ECB, there are lots of options, but I like: Buy 2 Glade Sense & Spray Starter Kits $5 each, use 2 -$4 coupons from 8/23 paper or All You mag, pay $2, receive $3 ECB = $1 overage.

Also, I mentioned the Back 2 School Coupon book (B2S) last week, but there is also a Walgreens Activity Book (I’ll call it WAB) that you can pick up for $.99. Yes, you're paying for coupons, but you’ll make up for it just by purchasing Neosporin this week ($2 overage). There is a page of coupons just after the cover. Bologna or Roast Chicken Club, that is the question

I brought a pretty good lunch today, but Arby's has a free Roast Chicken Club with the purchase of a soft drink...decisions, decisions...leave the air-conditioned office and wait in a possibly long drive-through line, or sit in the break room by myself...get a yummy Roast Chicken Club and a fountain Dr.Pepper (my favorite) or eat the banana and bologna sandwich I packed myself.

Blah, if I'm leaving the office, I may as well go to CVS too while I'm out...I'll see ya'll later!

CVS through 8/8

I figured out the key to a successful CVS trip (for me)…go on Sunday. 15 minutes before the CVS down the road was closing yesterday (because the 24-hour CVS is often a lost cause, even on Sunday) I ran out the door. As they were locking their doors, I checked out with 2 of the 12+ free school supplies (only things left) and EVERYTHING else that was on my list!!! I’m going to CVS during my lunch hour today to see if there’s anything else out there…it could happen.

There are at least 12 free school supplies through Tuesday and also cheap Pepsi (Dr.P included!)! Jeremy keeps asking for soft drinks when we go to the grocery and I assure him that I’ll get a good deal at CVS soon…here it is!

**updated** not free, but I love it:
