CVS through 10/3

Walgreens has ridiculous sales this week/month but I've got a big ECB expiring this week (that's right ECBs last for one month and that's how long it's been since I've stepped foot in CVS!) so I've got some big plans!

Here are links to 3 - $5 off $25 coupons to get you started. Click here, here, and here and take the flu quiz. Each one should print a unique number. Each computer you use for each of the three should also produce a new number. You cannot use a coupon with the same number twice.

Also a $4 Claritin coupon will print at check out for your NEXT purchase! I don't know much about Claritin, but I suppose this is a pretty good deal for those that rely on it! Kicking Myself...

I saw an ad in the paper today for Carolina Shrimp (On Westport/Shelbyville Rd). They are having a LOBSTER SALE!!! 1 - 1/4 lb whole Maine Lobsters for $5 off - which is $12.45 this Friday through Sunday. I had asked Jeremy earlier in the month about Carolina Shrimp because they have gift certificates on Restaurant.com and he said I should get them...I didn't and now they're sold out!

If you were smart enough to buy a GC for Carolina Shrimp before they were sold out I would suggest going this weekend...and having yourself a great Lobster dinner...I'll be at home, sad... (you could get 2 lobster dinners for $24.90 and still have to spend $10.90 more!). I'm going to cross my fingers that the sale is extended and they reload the GCs on the first of the month!

Shopping in the Rain

I haven't finished my Kroger shopping yet, but I plan to tomorrow morning, lugging grocery bags in and out of the rain just makes me crazy. I found another rebate to use with the megasale - for Kid's Boost Essentials - yes for my kid that doesn't eat vegetables. Buy the chocolate version and mail in for this rebate. Check the previous post for all the printable coupons, but buy 2 at $11.49 each (when buying 10 MegaSale items), use the BOGO coupon and the $5 coupon (if you reached your print limit on the $5 coupon there is also a $3 newspaper coupon) = $6.49 out of pocket. THEN mail in for the $11.49 rebate - that's $5 overage! Hey, if you don't want the Boost, you can "buy" it for me and keep the profit!

There is also a 4-day sale through Saturday. I couldn't find the ad online, but the ad I heard on the radio sounded pretty good. I would grab a flyer if you go!

Trip #2 during my lunch break - I have one more planned (I keep running out of time!)
Kroger Plus Savings: 39.73
Coupon Savings: 13.70
Out of Pocket: 43.45
Additional Rebates: $10 (all towards Kraft Rebate)
Actual cost: $33.45
Total Savings: 65% or $63.43

Taste of Home Mags free online

My grandmother renews my subscription for Taste of Home magazine each Christmas. When I first started getting the magazine it was lists and lists and pages and pages of recipes - a bit overwhelming. It has since been redesigned and it much easier to flip through and find great recipes. Well, ToH now has 26 of their magazines available for FREE online!

I found the lunch box ideas particularly cute. Someday I plan to be one of those thoughtful moms that has time to organize and make creative lunches/dinners for her family...someday. I found this website last week. I think I would need step by step instructions though. That giraffe is too cute!

Consignment Sales

There are still a few weeks left of the fall consignment sales. I made a great haul at the Little Treasures Sale a few weeks ago so I am holding out for the Highland Sale (next weekend - my favorite). But check out this previous post for sales this weekend and the first weekend of October. After that we'll be waiting until April rolls around!

Wags is my fave

I just wanted to emphasize how AWESOME Walgreens is! So far I’ve been there at least once a day (gives me something to do at lunch), I’ve made great profit and greatly increased my Register Rewards stash. I used to be a CVS girl or at least an equal opportunity drug store customer, but Walgreens is my #1. I think if CVS had items in stock past 2pm on the Sunday the ad started I would be more inclined to shop there. However, I do still have some ECBs to use before the expire and when there are super deals, I intend to go…on Sunday before 2pm.

I have had awesome luck finding and buying items this week at Wags. If they have EVERYTHING in stock, below is the perfect storm (and yes, the cashier will probably freak at the amount of RRs printing). I omitted a few items from the previous list, so check back there for a few other great deals.

Trip
2 Hershey Symphony bars (big ones) on clearance $.50 each = $1
True North Nut Snacks $3
2 Neosporin @ $3.99 = $7.98
Murine Ear (difficult to find) $6
Carefree Ultra Protection (small one) $1.99
Listerine (small one) $2.99
3 One-A Day @ $.99 = $2.97

Total: $25.93

Coupons:
$4 off Neosporin from Wags Back 2 School Coloring Book ($2 x2)
$1 off True North (check previous list for printable)
2 - $.50 off Neosporin from paper
$1 off Carefree (check previous list for printable)
$1 off Listerine (check previous list for printable)

Out of Pocket: $17.93 + tax

Register Rewards Received: $21 ($1 Hershey’s, $3 True North, $3 Neosporin, $6 Murine, $2 Carefree, $2 Listerine, $5 One-A-Day)

Total Overage: $3.07 woohoo, go buy some toilet paper or something you actually need, or heck, splurge on that as seen on TV item you’ve been eyeing…

Check out the Wags How-To for additional information on how all this Walgreens stuff works. The above items may be purchased as many times as you want HOWEVER, you can not use a register reward for item A and buy another item A, you must use it to buy item B. For example, if you have $5 in RRs for the One-A-Day, you should purchase Murine Ear. If you purchase One-A-Day again, the $5 RR WILL NOT print again. Leave comments if you have any questions!

If you are NOT currently a member of the Louisville Zoo , then here is your chance (current members please look away because new members are getting a ridiculous deal and it is depressing for us loyal followers…). KMart Super Doubles

Last week I posted that KMart should have Super Doubles this week, and then when the paper came out on Sunday there was no mention of it - sad. HOWEVER look what I found! Posted on KMarts website is a list of Super Double stores and all the stores in Louisville are listed!

If you are worried, call the store or check out with one item and see if it doubles. I had a FANTASTIC trip a few weeks ago! Remember, this is the last Super Doubles until January. I would post a list of deals, but since the KMart link just popped up and the week is half over, I would suggest checking out this extensive list for some great deals - I may post later, but that list will get you started!

Don't get overwhelmed! My immediate plan is to copy and paste the list into word and then delete all the items I don't want - then start printing the necessary coupons. The great thing about this sale is that there should be PLENTY of items in stock since it wasn't advertised, WOOHOO! I'm going to start making my plan of attack now!
