Walgreens week ending 8/23

In addition to Walgreens having weekly ad coupons, monthly easysaver coupons and monthly rebates, they also have Register Rewards. Register Rewards are just like CVS's ECBs except they expire quicker (about 2 weeks - yikes). And a RR item cannot be used to purchase the same RR item. For instance, if you bought 2 Bertolli pastas and got a $5 RR you cannot buy more Bertolli and expect a RR, however you could purchase 2 Pantene and with your Bertolli RR and you WOULD get a $3 RR. PS if you have not bought Bertolli pasta before - do it - it is awesome, and this is THE cheapest you will find it (taking the RR into account).

Trip:
2 Bertolli Pasta $11.98
2 Skippy Peanut Butter $3.33
4 Ragu $6.67
72 ct Benefiber (clearance) $3.19 (just do it for the overage if you have newspaper Q's))

Total: $25.17

Coupons used:
$5 off $20 Walgreens coupon
$1.25 off Bertolli - newspaper
.40 off Skippy - newspaper
.50 off 2 Ragu -newspaper
$2 off Benefiber Caplets -newspaper
$2 off Benefiber EasySaver Catalog

Out of Pocket: $15.02
RRs received: $9 ($5 Bertolli & $4 Ragu/Skippy)

So REALLY you're out $5.02 for the whole thing - that is less than the sale cost of ONE Bertolli at Kroger. P.S. if you got two papers on Sunday, (good for you) you could use an additional Skippy and Ragu coupon.

And don't worry I'll give you some options on how to spend your RRs in the next few weeks! Don't let them expire!!!
