Free Stamps + UPromise @ Wags

I've posted about Wags three times already this week, but I began typing so much explanation about this deal that the other deals got lost...so here it is...

Visit the Wags photo counter, look on the wall for a photo stamp set. The box is blue and has a puppy on the front, it says $.42, but you'll get $.44's. They should be on clearance between $7.19 and $10.xx, and after your 15% off coupon they'll be $6.11 - $8.xx. What you are buying is a CD for which to put in your computer, and the code you would use to order the stamps online. There are 20 stamps included, so the actual stamp cost is $8.80, so you’re winning either way here. Those are the buying basics…

NEXT, if you have not joined UPromise.com then do it, do it now! UPromise is based on saving money for college or paying off student loans, but it looks like they now have a ‘cash out’ option too, so you can just take the money if the college things doesn’t apply. I have been a member for about 2 years (for Jacob) and only gained $16, but it is so easy to use, I just run my debit cards/shopper cards and random pennies are added to my account – and you can get your friends relatives to sign up for your kid too. There are a bunch of other ways to get money, go check it out….I’m telling you this because UPromise will put $8 in your account when you order your stamps online! SO after the UPromise deposit, your stamps will be free plus a little overage (depending on the clearance price)

Here’s the run down:
**Scan 15% off coupon
**Buy Clearance Photo Stamps
**Go online to UPromise and click the ‘shop now’ tab. Search for PhotoStamps.com.
**When you get the merchant search results, click on ‘Shop Now” located under the photostamps logo. It will take you to the appropriate website and you start creating your photostamps.
**When you add the stamps to your cart your total will be something like $18.99 plus shipping, but after inputting the code on the box you bought from Wags, your cost is $0.
**Your stamps will be mailed to you and $8 will be deposited into your UPromise account in a few weeks
**Use your stamps! Think Christmas cards, thank you cards, wedding/birthday invitations…so cute. There shouldn’t be a limit either, so buy all the free stamps you want!

I know this is a long explanation, so please comment if you have any questions!

More Wags

There are a few great scenarios I would like to add to the Wags list since we have a 15% off coupon

Deals already posted:
**Rimmel, still BOGO, no change, 2 free
**Scotch Bubble mailer new price: $.33, I would get 3 with the $1 coupon = 3 free (but I guess it could beep for the $.005 cents less than $1, who knows.)
**Garnier new price $2.84 - $1 coupon - $2 RR = $.16 overage

New deals:
**Buy 2 Listerine Total Care $4 each, $3.40 after discount, use 2 - $2 coupons from paper or print this $2 off , get $3RR = $.20 overage
**Starbucks Frappuccino, use $1.25 in-ad coupon = $1.06 after discount, print $1 off coupon= $.06
**Buy 2 Oral B Indicator Toothbrushes $2.50 each, $2.13 after discount, use 2 - $1 Oral B coupons, get $2RR = $.12 each
**Got2B styling products BOGO $5.99, $5.09 after discount, use 2 - $2.50 coupons $2.50 off or 2 - $2 coupons $2 off = between $.05 to $.55 each
**Buy 2 Head & Shoulders Classic Clean @ $11, $9.35 after discount for 2, use BOGO newspaper coupon, get $4RR = $.34 each - if you have a $1 or $2 off one this would give you overage
**Conair Hairdryer (just for fun) $14.99, $12.74 after discount, receive $10RR = $2.74
**Ultra Tuf Trash bags $2.99, $2.54 after discount…no other coupons…trash bags are just rarely on sale…

Wags 15% off July 31

If you haven't been to Wags this week and have RRs expiring very soon (:::raises hand:::) then you are super smart because you have been awaiting the 15% off coupon for use tomorrow! I like this coupon because you don't have to go up and down the aisles looking for things to buy just to reach $20 or $25 minimum, and coupons have no relevance as to when you hit the $20 or $25...blah confusing.

Be sure to give the cashier the 15% off coupon FIRST. The last time they offered this coupon I was lectured at the beauty counter because I didn't read the fine print.

So, check out the Wags deals this week and go shopping Friday! I'll see if I can find any more deals out there that would be free or close with the 15%.

Kroger through 8/1

I had a super trip to Kroger last night! A few weeks ago they had a $3 off 10 item purchase, then they had a $5 off 10 items, THIS week, it’s $4 off 4 P&G items. There are a lot of P&G newspaper coupons expiring Friday, so go through them and pick your favorites! Also, pair your newspaper coupons with P&G eSaver coupons to double your savings!

I took Jeremy with me, so of course, we bought more than what was on my list. We started out with an $88 bill (just short of the $100 I needed for the free milk) and ending up spending $46 after coupons and got back 2 - $10 gift cards from the AMP deal.

Free items this week (continued from previous weeks):
**Oral B $1, use $1 coupon = free
**Crest Cavity Protection $1, use $.50 or $1 coupon = free
**Playtex disposable gloves $1, use $1 coupon = free

There were lots of P&G items that peaked my interest, but the 4 I went for were:
**Secret PH Balanced $2.33 - $1 newspaper coupon - $1 for 4-item purchase = $.33
**Gillette body wash $3.49 - $1 newspaper coupon - $1 P&G eSaver - $1 for 4-item purchase = $.49
**Herbal Essense Shampoo/Conditioner $2.99 - $1 newspaper coupon - $1 P&G eSaver - $1 for 4-item purchase = $.01 overage
**Herbal Essense Styler $2.99 - $2.99 (buy one sham/cond get a styler free newspaper coupon) - $1 for 4-item purchase = $1 overage.

So the total of the 4 items gave me overage of $.19! Of course there are other super deals on Bounty, Charmin, Pringles, etc. but I wanted get the most bang for my…well negative $.19. With the P&G eSaver, newspaper coupons and getting $4 off every 4 items, this is a great stockupportunity. I’ll be going back later in the week and actually spending money on P&G products.

Speaking of later in the week, there is a huge 50% off sale on Friday. Most of the items don’t have manufacturer coupons associated with them, but they’ll be great deals for half price. Check out the ad .

Printable Coupons

I had a great trip to Kroger last night and will post about it very soon. However, I had to tell you about a few awesome printable coupons that are available before they disappear!

$.50 off 2 Jell-O - that would be pretty cheap when doubled

Free 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk with the purchase of 1 gallon regular milk. I did this last night and it worked great! Use zip:63090

Free 1 gallon regular milk with a $100 grocery purchase. Use zip:63090. I attempted this last night, but my initial total came to $88! So close! If you get to $100 in groceries, give them this coupon FIRST, then other coupons.

$1 off Palmolive zip: 85712

$1 off Kellogg's Cinnabon Bars this is a new product, so I would expect some great sales soon.

$1 off 2 Breyers I believe this coupon is referring to Breyers ice cream, but Breyers also makes yogurt, in a sale, this would make for very cheap yogurt!

$5 off Beneful Dog Food - what a great coupon!

I’ve got a lot of posting to do again this week! There are some great sales! We’ll start with CVS, because I heart CVS.

In the travel-size section there are J&J To Go Kits for $.99 and there is a $1 off J&J newspaper coupon. If you happen to have 10 of these coupons, you would make a good profit, but I do not – I used it as a filler to get to $10. I bought $.99 J&J To Go Kit, $3.59 Transformers Band-Aids (there are Hello Kitty for your girls out there) and $5.69 Neosporin, used 3 - $1 coupons. My overall cost was $2.27. I think that’s pretty good for the name brand stuff!

Target through 7/18

Look at me posting for the 2nd day in a row! I don't know how I'm going to get to all these great deals this week, but I think it will be worth it! I haven't posted about Target before, because CVS, Walgreens and the other random stores in between keep me pretty busy, but Target has some super sales this week. I usually get in trouble at Target because I love everything there and it’s difficult to walk out empty handed. These are food deals though, so if I stay close to the food section & not wander, I should be okay…

I was originally only going to post about the Kellogg's Fuel for School Rebate, but digging deeper there are a TON of great deals this week. So I’ll start with the rebate and branch out. Get your coupon printer ready, we’re going to give it a work out!

If you didn’t pull the Kellogg's rebate out of the paper Sunday, you may print one here (sign up/in to get it). In order to receive the $10 rebate you must buy 10 Kellogg’s items in one transaction. There are a TON of Kellogg’s items that qualify, and I’m sure there will be lots of sales over this next month that would be quite fruitful.

I first posted about Eggo’s BakeShop products that are $1.50 each at Target and had numerous sites offering $1 off coupons…but all those coupons have disappeared. There are still some options though…
**Keebler Fudge Shoppe Cookies, buy 5 at $2.54 each, print 5 - $1 off coupons. Pay $7.70, get back a $5 Target gift card AND it counts for 5 of your 10 rebate items ($5) so your overage would be $2.30 on these 5 items!
**Kellogg’s Mini Wheats and/or Raisin Bran Crunch $1.88 each, use $1 coupons from the paper = $.88 out of pocket, submit for the rebate and you get $.12 overage on each one after the rebate. If you used or lost your $1 coupon, here is a $1.50 off 2 which would make it cost $.13 each ($1.50 off for coupon and $2 off for rebate)
**You may fill in with the Eggo Bakeshop products at $1.50 each, after the rebate they would be about $.50 each, which isn’t bad. Just be sure to get all 10 Kellogg’s/Keebler products in one transaction.
_________________________________
Some other deals to check out:
**Buy 10 Sobe Life Waters at $1 each get a $5 Target gift card, print 5 BOGO coupons. Pay $5 out of pocket, get back a $5 GC = 10 for free!
**Crystal Light, 3 pack (probably by the registers) $.99, print $1 off 1, $2 off 2 = free

****Target printable coupons****
Target posts coupons on their website almost every week. They often have lengthy expiration dates, but Target usually doesn’t leave the coupons on their site for that long. In comes “Target coupon generators.” A Full Cup has great generator on their website (under the coupons tab) but I think that you have to sign in, in order to see them, it looks like Organic Grocery Deals also has a generator and may be easier to access. These generators are often more printer friendly and easily accessible when you forget to print them when they first appear. Target coupons may be used with manufacturer coupons. You can print as many Target coupons as you want, so look through them and see if you see anything else exciting!

Options for Target + Manufacturer coupons:
Select Kashi Cereals $2.66. Buy 2 boxes of Cereal and use one Target BOGO coupon along with one $1 off coupon. Then print 2 $1.50 off manufacturer coupons. Your total overage would be $1.34, and that is AT the register, so be sure to buy other items with these...

MorningStar Farms Garden Veggie Patties (9.5 oz.) are 1.64. Buy 2 boxes for a total of $3.28, use $2 off 2 Target coupon and this $1 off coupon and you get both for $.28

Edy's Slow Churned ice cream (small 6 oz containers) $1.19, use the $1 off Target coupon and final cost .19!

Duncan Hines Cake Mix $.97, use $.50 off Target coupon and get it for $.47!

Disclaimer: Posting on this blog is a way of organizing all my thoughts and I have not been to Target yet this week. Hopefully the items are accurately marked on the aisle! There were a lot of links in this post, so if you find any that are incorrect, please let me know!!!

Don't let the other posts from today get buried, there are some great deals going on this week.

My last one for today is a magazine deal, it's not free, but I love magazines. I flip through them and tear out pages and have great aspirations to fulfill the ideas in them...I have about 5 binders (which I bought from Staples last summer for about $.10) full of articles that I've torn out ranging from crafts to food to gardening arranged in order in page protectors just waiting for a day to accomplish just one of those fancy ideas...some day...anyway...

Real Simple is on sale on Amazon for $5 for a year subscription. Cover price is $54! I love it!

Restaurant Deals! **updated with new coupon code**

Arby's
If you didn't get a free BBQ Bacon Cheddar RoastBurger coupon from Arby's last week, they're giving more away! Click here for the coupon, free with any drink purchase (small drink costs a little less than $1.50!)

Smokey Bones
If you have a paper route and can grab as many of the $10 off $20 coupons (that only come in the daily paper) for Smokey Bones that you want, then you've got a pretty awesome job, but for those of us that don't get up at 4am daily, that coupon is now available online. The Smokey Bones on Hurstbourne has 1/2 price appetizers before 6pm on weekdays, so Liz and I have been there quite a few times getting the sampler app as a kid's meal and using the coupons for us, usually paying less than $25 (after tip) for all four of us to eat a ridiculous amount of food.

Half Off Depot (Max & Erma's & more)
I decided I wanted a Tomato Mozzarella Chicken sandwich pretty soon, so I ordered two (I'm paying shipping, just go ahead and order multiples) $20 gift certificates for $10 a piece from Half Off Depot. The website mentioned a 1-2 weeks shipping time, but I ordered on Thursday and they were in my mailbox on Saturday! I am so excited to use them! Check out their website for even more deals!

Wendy's
I love Wendy's $.99 menu. I also love that when I'm not in the mood for fries, I can substitute a salad or baked potato or whatever else in my value meal. Last week I saw an TV ad for there new saucy chicken things (I don't know if they're wings or legs or what) and they looked so yummy. Here is a $1 coupon off those chicken things in case you want to try them!

Restaurant.com (bd's Mongolian Grill)
If I haven’t mentioned enough how much I love Restaurant.com, let me start by saying, I love restaurant.com. I can’t even count how many times Jeremy and I have visited restaurants that we would have never gone to before, or that may have been too expensive to visit without this website. There are currently 49 restaurants in the Louisville area offering great deals. If you live remotely close to a medium sized city, you’re going to have great luck on this website.

**Restaurant review...
This weekend we visited bd's Mongolian Grill on Hurstbourne. You grab a bowl, fill it with anything from the meat bar (chicken, scallops steak, etc.), veggie bar (anything you can think of) and then sauce bar (you can stay inside your comfort zone or go crazy here). It was $12.99 per adult. 2 and under (Jacob!) get the same meal but it’s free! In addition to the ridiculous amount of food you get, they have $1 draft beer everyday all day. Jeremy was dumbfounded. The drink he got (I couldn’t name it now) would have been way more than $6 for a 6 pack in the store…and was $2 less than the Dr.Pepper I was drinking! We had a $25 gift certificate which required a $35 purchase, so after our meals and drinks we both had to get dessert to reach our minimum! I bought the certificates at 70% off a few weeks ago, so after food, drinks, taxes, tip and the certificate we got out paying $18. Isn’t that crazy! Jeremy and I high-fived when we got our bill…

Once you buy a GC from them you'll get updates and coupons codes almost weekly (if the GC you want is already sold out check the 1st of next month). Use coupon code "kitchen" to get 60% off any gift certificate(s) + one free $10 gift certificate! I think you would put two GCs (at least) in your cart, one being a $10 one and after entering the code everything would be discounted.

Staples through 7/15 and 7/19

I always look through the Staples ad on Sunday morning to check for their Easy Rebates. I have gotten a lot of free pens & paper with the free rebates. This week there are some great rebates and back to school deals. Some of them are only good through Wednesday, so go soon! There are limits on what you can buy of each item, so look in the ad!

Sale through Wed:
**Staples pencils (8 ct) .01
**Staples Copy Paper $3.69 Submit for the $3.68 Staples Easy Rebate (it’s online and it really is easy) Final cost = $.01!
**Staples Photo Paper 4″x6″ $9.99, submit for a $8.99, Final cost = $1!

The following items are all $1. If you need them, buy them, but otherwise you might find the cheaper in the next month or so:
Staples translucent pencil cases
Staples Mini Magnetic Stapler
Acme Junior 5“ scissors (2 pk)
BIC Wite-Out Quick Dry (2 Pack)
Staples Pink Wedge Erasers (3 Pack)
Sharpie Major Accent Highlighters, Assorted, (6 Pk)
BIC Velocity Stick Fashion Pens, Assorted, (5 Pack)
Scotch Magic Tape

In Sunday’s ad there was a $5 off $20 coupon, but if you already threw it away (like me) here it is online.
Scenario:
2 Staples Photo Paper $9.99 each = $19.98
2 Staples Pencils, or any of the $1 items
Total: $20 + tax
Use the $5 coupon,
Out of pocket: $15 + tax
Submit for rebate and get up to $4.98 in overage!!! I will more than likely go for the 2 photo papers and a copy paper…because I need the copy paper, but if you're just in it for the overage (or photo paper) this is the way to go!

Their rebates are SO easy. Everything is submitted online and you get a check in just a few weeks!

**Bayer Breeze2 or Contour meter $19.99 with $5 ECB, use $30 off coupon (adjust down) for $5 overage.
**6x8 photobook from Kodak Kiosk $7.99 with $7.99 ECB = free. These things are so cool. I have to admit I have not completed one, but I have great intentions. They print out with borders and colors and writing – anything you want. It takes a little bit of time sitting there at the kiosk, put if you have a plan before you go, it shouldn’t be too hard. Here is a YouTube video about it.

A Note about Coupons.com

Coupons.com adds coupons randomly throughout the month. Each computer is allowed two printings per coupon per month. When the manufacturer reaches the amount of coupons they want to distribute (for example, they may allow 1500 coupons to print), the coupon is removed from the site…and may appear again on the 1st of the following month. It is just 8 days into the month and the $2 Axe coupon I posted about is already gone. So when you see coupons you want on coupons.com, print it right then because you might not get another chance!

Random deals at BRU this weekend

I read about some deals coming up this weekend at Babies ‘R’ Us. One included buying 2 Pampers value boxes, a $10 coupon, a $10 gift card AND manufacturer coupons and they still end up being more than $.25 per diaper when the value boxes are $40.99(!)….but that’s still about $.10 cheaper per diaper than buying them at sale price at a grocery store. So, if you are in need, and haven’t taken advantage of any of the other diaper deals, then go for it! This Pampers deal is only good tomorrow, July 2nd when the coupon and gift card offer overlap. There are a lot of coupons that expire tomorrow, and that are valid the 2nd through the 4th so take a few seconds and see if there is anything you need!

Wateroos ‘naturally’ fruit flavored purified water is on sale this week for buy one get one 50% off. When you buy 4 6-packs you may submit for a rebate for a $10 gift card to Babies ‘R’ Us or Whole Foods. So buy 4 6-packs of Wateroos at $3.49, BOGO 50% = $10.48. submit for the gift card and that’s just $.48 for 24 juice boxes…that’s .02 a piece!!

Babies ‘R’ Us, also has 15 ct travel size Sani-Hands for Kids for $.99. There were coupons in the 8/10 & 3/2 newspapers for $1 off = free!

And if you’ve got your juice boxes and Sani-Hands, look for $13.53 in additional products and use this $5 off $25 coupon (it can’t be used with the diaper deal because you can’t use 2 Babies R Us coupons together).
